Are you willing to ski back a ways? There are some lakes off of the 4-mile portage on the north end of Fall Lake that can provide some action, but it's a bit of a trek to get into there.

Just before Ella Hall is a little lake called Mud. Have done really well right off of the portage in. Never much for big fish, but lots of picklers.

Last year I went to the show to buy and thought Reed's would be the best and they came through again. I bought a Helix 10 from them and I got a free mapping chip. Below the price everyone else had at the show or outside the show. Also got a cheaper price on a new MinnKota that integrates with the Helix 10. When all the smoke cleared, I had everything in about 10 days.

Is the access on 22 still open at least?  I was hoping to get the boat out and chase a few cats Sunday, maybe it won't be an option?

I've been scouting public land like crazy to find some spots for upcoming archery and the spring turkey season and haven't found a shed yet. I even ventured into a sure bedding area hoping I'd see one in there and no dice.    It shouldn't be too much longer.

No one else getting concerned with the Wild's lack of intensity??? darn good when they want to be and awful mediocre when not buzzing....... Been a long time since I watched them play 3 full periods of real hockey.....
