taking a kid fishing

8 posts in this topic

Anyone know of a lake putting out panfish during the daylight hours? Taking a couple of beginners (kids) out this weekend if I go and want to give them consistent action if I can. Exact location isn't necessary, just a lake recommendation. Thanks.

I fished Martha on Sunday and had consistent action of Crappies and small bluegills. I fished in 20 ft water on North side out from Brown house. Most fish were suspended at 15 ft. All crappies were in the 8-9 inch range. Waxies and Euro Larva

I would suggest Swan Lake for Crappies.

Sorry, I suppose my location would have been helpful. I live on the northeast side of Clearwater Lake where it spills out into Grass Lake and the Cleawater River.

It is recommended that you start in April

The forum has do much more than fishing reports, hot bites, etc.  There's been more general and specific fishing  techniques, information and connecting with each other that has happened  here.     I can get hot bite information in a lot of places.  In fact many hot bites never do up on these forums.  Sounds like you've got a lot of information in a lot of places.   That's great!  Many of us have done the same thing.     Many of us have got together on the ice, in the woods or on the water because of.this forum.  That's what I've always enjoyed the most.     Hope to be able to keep doing that for a long time.
