I would like to know the same thing. Just booked with them for the 18th and 19th. My buddy has some friends who have a private house with them and thought it would be cool to be in the same area. Never used them before...

Fished out of one of their houses last February. Was my first and only ML ice fishing adventure. They were reasonably priced plenty warm and we caught a few fish. We had weather move through which made for one good feeding window for the weekend and that was about it.

Their shacks weren't anything fancy but they seemed fine to me.

I was up there January 06 and there houses are ok, we caught zero fish and when we got there it looked like the house had never been moved like they do at other resorts to keep on the fish. Luckily we had portables with and found fish ourselves, would have been cheaper to just stay at a hotel and I havent booked with them since, going to Appledorns this month and next can't wait! crazy.gif

We were out on New Years Eve and New Years Day. We ended up with a 26" eye at 4 in the morning. The houses were ok and it was reasonably priced.

Good stuff guys, KK we will be up there this week end, I will give you a report when we get back.

DO you drive your own vehicles out to the houses? It could be close to 35 or 40 degrees out. That may help our bite a little. It will be my first time out in a rented sleeper. Going up with a bunch of buddies, any fish will just be a bonus. But I really dont want to get skunked.

Hester

Very high expectations. Especially that splake...36 inches would be 2.5 inches longer than what the state record is.

Good for him holding that big pig.

Going to hit it tomorrow. Haven't decided where we will but in at the junction or head towards birchdale. Have heard varying fishing reports. Any info is appreciated! Tight lines everyone!

I was up for my first trip to RR on Wednesday and Thursday. Launched at Birchdale Wednesday morning because it was the only one open. Launched at Vidas on Thursday.  Fished the ice edge as it pushed westward for some of both days with minimal success. Caught a 28.5" and 26.5" on consecutive casts on Wednesday but not much other action at ice edge.  We had our most success at the connection of the Rapid River (just west of Vidas Landing). Caught about 45 walleyes total with a 28" and 26" being the biggest from that spot.  We also hooked up with 15 sturgeon, landing 4 of them. A 66", 60" and finished the trip landing two sturgeon in the same net (a 42" and 32", or so).  It was an amazing experience and I will be back again in the upcoming years!

      Thanks Don!
