I think Jonny-P would make it memorable for you two!

The problem is they fill so fast that getting reservations can be an issue now.

All you have to do is read some of the other posts in this forum about Kelly-P and Jonny-P and you'll find they have many happy clients. Or I could probably shut my mouth and let them recommend them to you as well.

You guys will love URL, one of my favorite places in the winter!

One could also check out Raveling Outdoors, one of the sponsors of this forum. Their ad and link is listed at the top of the page. I have heard many good things about them.

One could also call Club Red or Outdoors with Jonny P. These are a couple of great operations and they book fast.

Well.. In saying resort, do you want to find a sleeper fish house? Or do you just want to get out on the lake, and rent a cabin?

I agree with the posters and Westwind is also a good place --Kelly fills fast--and don't forget the web sites for the URL area--

The only reason they allow you to have a gun while archery hunting deer is if you have a ccw. They did this because if they didn't it would impede on your rights to carry.   Thank you for contacting the Minnesota DNR.   You are correct, your friend is not. Even having both licenses, a person can't have both weapons with them at the same time. That person would need to choose which weapon and license to use, can’t do both hunts with both weapons at the same time.   Please feel free to contact us if you have further questions either by email or by calling 888-646-6367 M-F 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

I have caught them on Vermilion when the mayflies are hatching in the evening by using a fly rod with small poppers or may fly type dry flies. Just cast to the surfacing fish. A spinning rod with an Adjusta Float with poppers or flies may work even better. Cliff

I have also wondered why there are no Sauger in Vermilion. I have never caught one there or heard of one being caught by anyone else. Cliff
