So, who's out in Fantasy Football?

19 posts in this topic

This thread is dedicated to whining about being out of the playoffs.

Brandon Jacobs you BUM. I stuck with you all year and you fumbled twice this week and I lost by 1 point.

I'm in the consolation. The 8 seed knocked me, the 1 seed out. His players must have all celebrated birthdays, and mine played like junk. I'd tell you the roster but you can probably guess a few of them.

That's okay. It's always been a crapshoot. I was the 3 or 4 seed last year and won the whole thing. Leagues with bracketed playoffs, tight scoring, and lots of year to year parody usually get different winners each year, and not too many regular season and playoff winners.

That said I like my chances in my other head to head leagues. It's also a case for roto scoring.

I'm out as well. In my matchup, it came down to the battle of the tight ends. I had Shockey (1 pt) and my opponent had Jason Whitten (30 pts). OUCH!!! I only lost by 5 points.

Why did Shaun Alexander have to have an off year and no offensive line...

Why did Philip Rivers have bad games when I started him and great games when I didn't...

Why did David Garrard have to get hurt for four some games...

Why did Lavernous Coles not get a decent QB to throw to him...oh and the injury bug that followed.

Why did Plaxico Burress, Alge Crumpler...oh never mind...depression setting in... frown.gif

why didn't i play the guys on my bench who had huge games that would have helped me knock off the one seed if they were starting

I'm in what my league calls the "toilet bowl", only the top 4 out of the 10 teams make the playoffs. One of the teams that made it this year won 5 or 6 games by 3 pts or less and lost one week by 76, tell me he belongs in the running mad.gif

lost to

r. williams jax

miller

elam

vikings

lost by 2 points beacuse they gave the vikings a fumble recovery instead of a int for s. johnson. with that he got 2 more points because it was then a sack of dilfer or hill.

the tie i would have won..

In my head to head leagues I managed the playoffs in 2 of the 3 leagues. Both were as the #2 seed. My salary cap dynasty league I lost on a tiebreaker and missed the playoffs.

Brandon Jacobs, you bum. Cost me a second round pick.

Mark Bulger, you stiff - cost me a third round pick when I could have had Romo.

LT, why did your GM have to fire Shottenheimer and ruin your fantasy numbers. You're washed up!

Shockey you [Note from admin: Please read forum policy before posting again. Thank you.] . Get in the end zone when and if you ever catch a pass.

Anquan Bolden, if you were a real man you'd have your fractured toe cut off and get back in the game.

To all the kickers who scores lots of points the week after I drop you, you all suck!

Thanks for this thread, I feel a little better.

Well, anyone who rode Tony Romo's hot regular season hand either crashed last week or crashed and burned this week. Golly. Actually, their might have been a few Brady and Manning people that came crashing down too!

I'm going to probably go 1-2 in my semi-finals. Pulled out a win in my money auction league. Gonna end up going against the #5 seed who beat #1. The #1 seed only had 1 week under 100 points all season and that was at 90. This week he scored 72. Moss and Manning tanked for him among a couple others.

My other league, which was a group of Packer fans on a football site I'm gonna need a lot of luck. Up 20, but he has Hester, Berrian, C. Taylor, and Longwell all going tonight. Addai bit the big one for me in that league. Oh well, maybe I'll get a miracle.

was 2-8 going into the last four games. Finished 6-8, not enough for playoffs contention though. I have middle pick next year.

Anybody see what Eagle's RB Westbrook did towards the end of their game? He had a clear path to the end zone, but he layed down at the goal line to gain a first down and they ran the clock out from there just taking knees.

Heck of a smart play from a very unselfish player, but if I had him in my fantasy lineup I'd be cursing him to no end.

Public water is the Surface of the Water, not the land beneath it.  So even if you can access the river through an easement the actual land that youre standing on could be private property. Everything on the DNR Website says "Surface of Water" in the trespassing section.  I agree this is unfortunate,  but as usual, the 3 drunk morons that don't care ruin it for the 1000 that do..... standard procedure these days.  1 idiot doesn't clean his boat, and wrecks a lake for thousands of people.

I just returned from the hatchery and got a few stats on this springs catch. Total eggs taken this spring is 708 quarts which was their quota wanted this year. Normal yearly quota is 850 qts. to 900 qts. Nets were pulled as soon as their quota was met, but the walleyes were still running well and probably spawned below the dam naturally. There are about 100,000 eggs per quart and the average fry hatch rate in the hatchery is 75% to 80%!  Natural hatch rate for eggs is only about 2% to 3% in the lake! Actual survival rate of all fry is highly dependent on water temps during the spring and summer, (the warmer-the better)! Predators also play a huge role in survival rate. Predators of the fry range from zooplankton to any thing else that wants to eat them! There were 5,500 male walleyes trapped and 2,000 female walleyes trapped before the trap nets were pulled. The eggs are hatching much slower this spring because the water temps have dropped from 53 degrees at the start of the trapping to 39 degrees this morning. Fry release into Vermilion is estimated to happen at around the walleye fishing opener this year because of the late hatch and water temps. Largest female trapped this spring was 32 inches! Cliff

That sounds encouraging. Did you notice all the dead carp on shore? I wonder what's up with that, a virus or something maybe?
