Friday Night

1 post in this topic

Was out of Appledorns friday night, just wanted to say thanks again to Paul and his staff, nice meeting you and looking forward to spending some ice time with you this winter. Was out in my first spot and i wasn't able to physically fish. I had never really experienced it before but there was slush under the ice for about a good 4 feet, no matter how much i cleaned out it kept coming and coming. Paul said it was from when the ice froze and then the wind came through and caused the slush. The second spot i went to i had 3 perch hit right after another on a salmo jig but nothing after that after until i landed a 22 inch walleye on the dead stick. Dead from there on out but it was nice to get out. I had 7-8 inches of solid ice out of Appledorns, if you wanna get out give Appledorns a try top notch place.

After superbowl sounds good to me that will give it time for this slush and slop to freeze as well

I bet that cedar lake was borderline to drive on before the warm up in the first place.
