Main lake was skimmed over but the big wind blew her wide open again....South bays may be walkable (and rough)this weekend.

Hunters Point Webcam will give you a peek at the lake from the east side.

Spudded my way out 200 yards or so into Sunset Bay. 4-5 inches everywhere I went and not a crack to be heard. We did have some of the first ice on ML out here in the bay, so I doubt you will find that everywhere.

      Great stuff guys

The lakes took a beating and I was not out on Sunday to see the damage. Saturday I saw the first 4 to 5 inches turn soft. Be careful and check the ice conditions

Sometimes you need em that size.      You guys did push me over the edge so I had to go out Sunday afternoon.  Thanks for that.

I was going to try to go tomorrow (walking out in metro) despite the rain which appears to be light and I have a portable. Are you concerned about the ice conditions deteriorating throughout the day?  Or just for the rest of the week?
