Selling Fish Dockside

3 posts in this topic

I was watching a show about the Fisherman's Terminal in Seattle, specifically about the area where the small commercial fishermen can pull their boat up to the dock and sell their days catch right off the boat.

Was wondering if this type of thing had ever been done in Duluth, or if it had ever been proposed. I don't recall ever seeing this, but was curious.

Without getting into the politics that such a thing would inevitably cause, it would be kind of neat to walk down by the Irvin and buy some fresh fish off the dock from some of you guys/gals.

You'll need a commercial license to sell fish. So that'll leave out buying from the average Joe.

Don't know the legalities but I'd imagine there are differences between buying ciscos off a boat and buying lake trout off a boat.

Head to Cornucopia, you'll find it there.
