Hey all, I know this isn't a Mille Lacs forum, but my buddy and I hit Mille Lacs this past weekend... The reports are true - fishing is bad right now out there. We tried everything under the sun this past weekend and managed only one 22 incher in about 15 hours total of fishing... Yikes! We knew before we went that it would be bad, but since we both are so busy in October, we couldn't have rescheduled... Oh well, that's how it goes sometimes! A bad couple days of fishing is always better than a good couple days of work!!

PS - the highlight of our weekend had to be staying in the Garrison Inn and Suites where some drunk guy came busting in at about 2 AM to ask my buddy if had waffles to eat... Some bachelor party blew through there on Saturday night and I was about to tackle some of those dudes... Funny though about the waffle sitch...

      Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

      That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.
