Never heard of the dog. How long ago did he die?

If it is a true Candlewood dog, it is well bred. Mary doesn't mess around.

I haven't heard of Moon Shadow, but my female has Candlewoods lines in her and I couldn't be happier, like JDM mentioned, Candlewoods produces top notch dogs.

Shadow is out of Abe and Lottie. I had a pup thats sire was a Harley and Lottie Dog. One of the nicest if not thee nicest dogs I ever have worked with. Looks like I will have to look the the Joyners up and ask them.

Just curious - who were the sire and dam of this dog? Based on the name, it is possible that I may have a litter mate?

My dog is out of FC Hwakeye's Major Day and Candlewoods Super Saddie. He is 6 1/2.

I love any dog with ties back to Supertanker. I have always been fond of the Honcho blood lines.

FC AFC Webshires Honest Abe and 3x NFC AFC Candlewoods Tanks Alot. I am aware of Shadow's littermates, but was wondering what kinda of pups he was throwing?

If Shadow is an offspring from Lottie his pups will be just fine in my opinion.

Are we talking about Hawkeye's Candlewood Shadow?

If so, he past away a few months ago. His owner, Hank McNeil does have some frozen semen but I believe he is going to be very particular as to who he breeds to.

This dog has an outstanding pedigree but did not throw much in the way of field trial dogs.

He was a very good looking dog who finished his trial career with just short of 200 AA points. Very talented dog!!!

Sounds like putting the gear away wasn't a bad idea. Didn't relize the ice has deteriorated that much. Guess I've been to caught up in thinking about summer. Sounding like maybe get the boat out next weekend hard to say yet would like to get it on the water first as possibly taking it to lake superior in a few weeks. Thanks all for the reports keep em coming. Ooh forgot drove past crow wing lake yesterday and the north side was melted a ways from shore and away from the reeds. Just in a few hours the ice turned from white-black to dark black. With the temps forcasted it shouldn't take long now.

You got to stop by! One of the best fisheries as far as multi spices lakes in MN. The fish that come out of big V can be monsters. With that being said the scenery all over the lake is like none other. It's truly one of the most scenic lakes I've ever fished really makes you sit back and really enjoy what nature has to offer.

I'm hanging it up for the season as well. Yesterday we hit 371 bay of North Long. The walk in was a bit spooky. The ice is very rotten. It takes about 8 toe kicks to make a hole hole through the ice.    With that being said, the 371 bay is the first of the area lakes to freeze and first to melt. So, I think it's reasonable to say that a guy can still get out on larger lakes, like Round, Gull, or Pelican. That's just my two cents.    It was a great year with many memoirs made. Good luck to those that still make it out, and again, be safe!

My goal is to fish Vermilion again someday.   I keep driving past it.
