Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Boot Dryers

Recommended Posts

I am looking to get a portable boot dryer. From what I can tell you have about three options:

1) Peet boot dryer with base and upright tubes to put your boots on

2)Portable Peet dryer that fits right in the boot

3) Seirus dryer with flexible tubes that fit right down in the boot

The peet portable and Serius seem to take up the least amount of spece to pack along, but do they do a good job?

I have only seen the Serius in Cabela's catalog, while you see Peet in almost any sporting goods store.

What do you guys have and what do like and not like? Not a huge $ purchase, but always nice to buy the right thing the first time. Thanks-

I have the original style standup Peet dryer. I've had it for years. It works great. I've never seen or had any experience with the others.

I built my own out of PVC pipe and use a hair dryer on a low setting. Works faster than the commercial ones.

By portable do you mean one that runs on propane?

I have a standard peet you plug in and its well worth the money. Even if not wet, on cold days it makes a big difference to start with a warm pair of boots.

No, I am talking just plug in ones. Peet makes a style that folds down and allows you to put it into the boot for travel, then unfold it and stick it back in the boot and plug it in. Best to type boot dryers in on Cabela's to see what I mean.

I have had the stand-up peet for years. Nice unit. Last year I bought a Peet portable. I was so impressed I went out and bought another one. Fantastic for traveling.

I'm on my second Peet standup version. They are great. I prefer them to a blow dryer cause it drys the leather boots slower and they stay soft and don't crack.

I have had good luck with the peet boot dryers. i got a different brand a couple years ago for christmas, i am pretty sure it was an instep brand, but i can't find them on their website and i am pretty sure they quit making them, but one thing i like better about mine compared to the peet ones is mine has a shut off switch, and a little tray for any water that drips off the boots.

I don't personally but I work with a few guys that have the portable peet ones and they really like them. I myself have the flex tube ones you mentioned and they really aren't that fast at drying out the boots.
