Prior Lake

2 posts in this topic

I was thinking of heading to Prior Lake on Wed. My wife and I are looking for pan fish and just being on the water. Have never been on PL and wondered best location to put in and any general areas to target. does a slip bobber and crawler or crappie minnow work for gills/craps? Any info would be welcome.

I would go with the crappie minnows. I would also try the drop off on the western shore.

Took my daughter fishing today. Not unusual. She's 18 and has fished with dad since she was a baby. What was unusual was her boyfriend came with us. She grew up fast. Glad it's still cool to hang with her dad. Brought home a pile of crappies to boot. All had fun.

I change mine every year. Probably could get by longer then that, but I like to do it every year.
