Catfish

4 posts in this topic

Just wondering if anyone has any good hot spots to hit for some late summer catfishing? We have always had good luck near Deer Lake, but the water is so (Contact Us Please) low that it is pt.less out there. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance again guys.

If you can get onto the Crow River, that would be an ideal spot. Or the Mississipi is also a good choice, just have to be careful in a boat, cause of low water levels. There are numerous lakes in the area too that hold cats, but I dont want to post them here. If you want to know of some local lakes leave me an email to contact you. good luck

I took my kids for a monticello outing yesterday, but my boy spiked a fever on the way so I had to abort mission.  Tried a little shorefishing at home this afternoon in Brooklyn Park. I tried spoons, jerkbaits and ringworms. No action.

Heading to Grand rapids on Wed. Any chance a guy can drive back in the woods with a car??

Palmer lake is good for sunfish (and it's kind of a pond), but it's been getting hammered this winter. I'm worried about the pressure it's been getting. I wouldn't mention it here, but word is clearly out already. There are a lot of great options to try around Eagan. That's where I do most of my pond fishing.  I live in Brooklyn Park now and have had a tough time finding good fishing in ponds/little lakes up this way. Might have to give the clay hole a try
