Had no idea where to post this so I picked a busy forum! Anyone know of a good meteor shower coming soon? My girlfriend swears she's never seen a falling star!

new GF Cooter? Did she say that in a bar? If so, you should have yelled out, "LOOK AT ME I AM PARIS HILTON AND I'M HOT!" and proceed to fall off your barstool

Are you sure that she's talking about the sky?

Tippman, thanks - you have any idea about what time and direction? Any other good dates would be appreciated, I may be up on L Vermilion the 13th.

Gunflint - can't quite figure out what you're getting at but am sure its rated at least PG-13! wink.gif

If you watch the evening news that day they should tell you the best time and direction to watch. Otherwise try a search. Usually it's towards the North and peaks around midnight if I remember right. I'm going to be on Vermillion for it as well, hoping for a clear night cause I'll be doing the same thing you are.

still love my setup for bluegills but not the best when I use a size 10 jig and fishin for crappies. I might grab the clam springs and rig a rod up with the wire thats a little stiffer and see how it works. this would just be for deep fish.

Out Sunday ... Looked like a City of Trucks and Castles ... Bite was slow but managed a few Crappies / sonnies on Plastics.   we lost a nice walleye near the hole on a moon jig and crappie minnow.   Might have to go Perching in the shallows on south side of MilLacs this weekend.  Hey Moose ... what ya using for Perch on Millacs shallows 12-18 FOW?

Was out after work for a couple hours yesterday and got two walleyes to bite. The Landing is getting flooded out. Was kinda hesitant on driving out after seeing all the trucks parking on Shore and taking the long walk out. With all the black ice out there it was a little spooky but after seeing 17" to 19"of good ice  was pretty comfortable with it

I will be interested to hear of your experience.  Please let us know.    I think the anecdotal evidence was that the service and quality was not up to the premium price, although that could be old news.     "fine dining" has been a tough sell on the lake.   Several places have tried and failed that I am aware of.

Only fishing for crappies. With a baby at home only get a few hours after work to fish.
