Can't tell you much about White Iron, but if you can, fish Farm lake. It's on that chain of lakes. There is a reef, that I always do well for Walleyes & Smallies.

Use slip bobbers, small glow jigs and leeches. The night bite from 7 to about an hour after dark is awesome. During the day fish deeper 10-25 ft the same way.

Also, During the day, troll shad raps, husky jerks. Depths anywhere from 5-20 ft. Colors to use : Perch, Crawdad/crayfish, clown, firetiger, gold, Try a few of the chrome colors also. They are agressive, so hold on grin.gif

Garden is the better smallie lake. Farm is the better walleye lake. White Iron is the better northern lake. That said all have a good population of all 3 species. As of 7/4 the White Iron eyes were on the little rock piles in 16-24 FOW. Leeches, crawlers rigged with 3-5 ft. leaders, and a colored hook - metal not paint. Smallies against the rocks in flat conditions - fire tiger or frog topwaters. Son released a 24 in. smallie at 8:30 PM caught from shore.

Search the previous posts for these lakes. Obey the slot, let it work. Take what you need and leave the rest but never take the very best.
