Went past your cabin a couple of weeks ago. The window shades were pulled and the cover was on the boat, not much activity, you must not have been there.

Are you headed up this weekend for the 4th celebration? the you know whats have been biting out deep, but awfully small. Good to see some seed however. Lake is down about 3" on my lift, need some rain or 4 strong guys to move me farther out. I'll look for you again. Bill

Not much activity is exactly right. I smashed and broke my finger at the knuckle on my right hand (of course I'm right handed) pretty good this spring. Had surgery on it twice.

So, that's put a damper on my summer activities. Haven't been to the lake much, haven't fished since opener.

I'll be there this Sat. just for the day, driving my folks up, my dad has always liked to watch the boat parade.

I'm not on this site much since I can't fish, hoping to be back in the swing of things by late summer or early fall.

That leaves more fish for you cool.gifsmile.gif

Not a good way to spend the summer months thats for sure. I screwed up my knee in March at LOW and spent 2 weeks on crutches. Still not sure I won't need surgery. As long as I can get to the boat, I'll find a way to get in the boat. Should be a nice day on Saturday. I've been releasing everything so they'll be more for both of us. Hope the finger comes around and you can drop a line before too long. Bill

Thanks for the ice report, Sculpin.  With the weather forecasted for the upcoming week, I'm sure I'll be up there next weekend, hopefully walking out from the northwest side.   van, yeah, I hear you.  I've been up to LOW a few times, and it is very fun to know there's the chance of catching a monster....but driving all that way for a bucket full of 12'' fish?  Not my cup of tea. I'll save the money and buy three dozen T-bones to make it through the winter. I'm sure people who know the lake better than I do have done better on the weekends I'm up there, but the reports at the resort we used were pretty similar.    I like the northwest side on ML because it's where we've been for almost 20 years, but it also has close access to sand, rocks, whatever weeds remain, mud flats, transitions, etc. The only thing we don't have up there is extensive gravel.

I'm curious to see how this works out. Do you plan to keep the battery warm while not is use on the water?
