Does anyone use jigs on Mille lacs?

2 posts in this topic

I hear alot about slip bobbers and rigging on Mille Lacs. Does anyone have success vertical jigging and drifting with jigs. I really like to jig for walleyes. I will be up on Monday for a week on the southeast end. Any tops for jigging would be appreciated. Maybe it is just not the way to go on Mille lacs?

I did quite well with jigs today when the bite slowed down. Yellow with a red eye was the best for me, I was outfishing most boats around me until they saw what I was using, It's hard to hide when they are almost bumping into your boat smile.gif

I'm pretty sure the old owner Jack still owns the property and leases to the landing. I live close and with an inclusive business plan I think it would do fantastic. When jack ran it the place was packed. The owner of wolf bay lodge told me his business tripled since the landing changed hands. There is plenty of demand for a fun place to go that treats everyone the same whether they are rich or not, local or tourist. I've owned a few businesses in this area and there aren't enough extra customers that you can afford to get rid of anyone. Why anyone would want to is beyond me.

Pretty sure I know who that is. Won't mention any names tho. What did he get busted for?
