What's Working on Kab?

3 posts in this topic

This is our 4th year staying at Sandy Point Lodge on Kabetogama. Coming up on Wednesday, June 20 for 4 days and looking for some hot spots for walleyes. Also want to try for those smallies this year and looking for some advice and areas to fish.

Just got back Saturday and did farely well. Caught walleye in 20-30 foot off Harris Island and Cemetary Islands during the day with Jig/Crawler(white appeared to work well) and drop-shotting. During the early morning and evening I pitched jig to shores of Cemetary with boat in 12 fow. Couldn't find alot of keepers though in Kab, ended up in Namakan for a couple of days to get those. As far as smallies, they were everywhere(Cemetary, Grassies etc...) and good sizes too, caught quite a few 17-18". Jig/Minnow( any color ) and spinners( Gold Blade ). Best year for smallies in 4 years going. Good Luck
