Pheasant numbers?

Talked to my folks the other night and inquired about if they had been seeing any pheasants (West Central MN). They said that they haven't seen numbers like this in years. Hopefully we get through the next month reasonably dry and warm for the chicks. Could be a great fall!

We are about another 20 days from peak hatch so this rainy pattern while flooding some low lying nests should not hurt the majority of the chicks. Any lost nests now - hens should renest.

Weather - June 15th through July 15th will be key to brood survival. Warm and dry is what we need.

Looking real good so far here in the far southwest corner. Just need that warm dry weather at hatching time to make for another fun fall.
