I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. I took my daughter to the diesel stained waters of East Side Lake down in Austin, and she landed a 14 to 15 inch eye. What I enjoy is that she's only 5. We were having a pretty good time landing small crappies when the eye hit. I knew the lake had been stocked with a few lbs. of eyes under a year ago, but was skeptical.Sure was something else!!! That's the 10th eye my daughter's caught in the past few years.

Too bad there's about 6 feet of diesel fuel all along the shoreline from the truckstop across the interstate. Makes it tough to stomach.

i used to fish that lake all the time when i was a kid, that was b4 any eyes were in there (that i know of), heard rumors of a few muskies being stocked in there to slim out the stunted panfish, any truth to this??

No muskie, however I know there's a few northerns in there. At least there used to be a few years back.
