Cedar and Harriet spots and info

Recommended Posts

Any one catching anything from shore from Harriet or Cedar lakes? I am just getting back into fishing again and I don’t know if it is just me or the fish have not moved back up into the shallows where they can be reached form shore? I don’t see any nesting sites yet either and I have checked a few places around the lake.

I have tried slip bobbers with gulp worms and maggots, jigs / flu flu’s, beetle spins and power minnows with no luck.

Does any one out there fish these shallow basin lakes enough to give a new guy some tips?

Head to over to Calhoun. In the channel between Calhoun and Isles they were snapping last weekend. I caught a bunch of crappies, sunfish and the occasion incidental bass. I caught everything on either a red and white tube jig or a flu flu. Most of the sunfish were hugging the retaining wall, while the crappies were suspended a little further out.

Boy you went kidding about the sunfish hugging the wall just stood there and dropped it right down along the wall. I caught about 6 in couple hours. Still didn’t find any Crappies but I will give it another try soon.

Thanks for the tip!
