i do wonder why there is such adouble standard here...i am a moderator and this may well be my last post....i did not even read the last of a certain post....but two guys told the truth about the reality o f being a citizen and a promoter of our area....and got cut off on here....for why? i do not know...........i DO not want a problem....but they were two valued folks....one was ace...and the other was and is a great!!!!!!!promoter of our area and is well respected..........they did not say anything that was not of value or out of line.........and niether have i in a couple of years....they as i have been here for a while....well whatever ....set the hook!!!!!

It was great to have Ace back. I don't know why he left in the first place. But if he's gone again and Garytheguide is also ticked off that's not good. I've got to be missing something why this is so. I've not seen anything they said that is offensive. So are they NOT suppose to "toot" their horn about the LV area? That's the only thing I gather is not "kosher"(oops that's probably not poetically correct). I really don't know what the problem is but I'd like an explanation. I'd like to offer other thought but until I know what is really going on I'll keep my mouth shut.

The only explanation I ever heard on banning these folks was that it was the administrators doing, whomever that is.

They claimed some phones numbers and other things not kosher with posting on this site were in the post. I saw the orginally post and there were no phone numbers , etc. It then sort of got into a we versus them scenero and people got banned from posting. I'll probably get banned for this.... It's not all that much fun to post on here if we are walking on egg shells all the time. This site can be a good way to share info but I think it's going to miss out on some knowlegable folks leaving for this.

Well that's my 2 cents worth.

      As crazy as that might sound, May 18th isn’t a bad guess.  We were on the lake yesterday and had somewhere around 30” of solid ice with some snow on top.  This is hard January-type ice.  No honeycombing, no chipping or slush.  In fact, my Dewalt hammer drill couldn’t take it.  It’s dead.   Another foot of snow on the way this week?  That won’t help.

      Try the area where Minnehaha Falls runs into the river up to the ford dam. I've just used jig and fathead. Been several years since I've fished down there, but saw a lot of people shore fishing there. Pretty snaggy down there.

      Entries sure rolled in when I offered the case of beer.  We could meet at my Stuntz Bay boathouse if that would work.  Close to the landing, could anchor in front of the boathouse, or could park your vehicle at by the boathouse.  Maybe we could require the winner to be present, LOL.

      I know the owner.  In fact we rode snowmobiles together a couple days after the fire.  He lost most of his belongings.  Sounds like it was electrical.
