looking at staying the first week of sept. and trying to decide on which resort. have 6-8 guys and will need boats. have talked to idlewild , harmony beach, voyageurs and sandypoint . all have availability and boats , any advice from those that have stayed at them. thanks

I think you would like Harmony Beach. Nice owners and great service. I've also stayed at Sandy Point and liked that as well. I think that most people would be happy with either one. I can't comment on the other two.

Smoker. Have stayed at Idlewild for 3 years and will be there again this year. Real good family operated place and good central location. Tim and his family are excellent hosts, helpful and Tim is a guide if you need one. 5 star in my opinion. I have stayed at a couple of other, and since I don't have the same recommendation, they will remain nameless as I do not believe in giving a poor public relation report, unless it is really warranted. We stayed at Harmony Beach Resort and they were real nice to us. We went May 20th-May 27th 2006. Fishing was tough. We would've stayed there this year, but they are booked solid. We are instead staying at Deer Horn Resort. I hope we are treated as well this year. Time will tell. More importantly though is the fishing. We will be there June 2nd-June 9th.

I am glad that you got hooked up! I will be up there on both weekends you are there. Give me a shout on channel 12 if I am not on the water I have a radio in the camper. I know you will be happy with the area. Perhaps we can share a story or two.
