My dad has the above motor. He is having a hard time slowing down the idle. He said he adjusted the outer idle control, but it still idles too fast. His manual says that in order to slow it down further you should take it to an authorized dealer. I figured somebody here would be able to explain the best way to do this without having to bring it to a dealer. They'll charge him $100 for minutes worth of work, I'm sure. The model of his motor is J10SRO. Thanks in advance for any advice.
I might have missed a guess, but here are the ones that I noted:
JerkinLips – March 27th, then April 7th
Brianf. – March 28th
Bobberwatcher – April….
MikeG3Boat – April 10th
SkunkedAgain – early April, then April 21st
Definitely a tough year for guesses, as it seemed to be a no-brainer early ice out. Then it got cold and snowed again.
