There is not a lot of NHL talk on here, but I see he got 100 points for the season already last night.

Is this the second coming of the Great Gretzky? Personally I don't think he will keep up the pace to break all of Gretzky's records, but he will for records at the beginning of a career or records by a certain age.

Your thoughts please.

He is real good but he's no 99.

I would assume the Great ones stats are way better comparing stats year by year and I can guarantee Crosby will not have 92 goals and 120 assist in his 3rd season in the NHL.

Pittsburg is improving and has some of the best young talent in the league. Crosby already plays more physical then the Great one ever did. He will be fun to watch for a long time I hope.

There is potential for him to scratch the itch of a few of those records but I don't know if the physical play of what the game is now will allow him to do what Gretzky was able to do. Mario Lemieux had the last legitimate chance to shatter every Gretzky record out there until health problems got the best of him.

Definitely a different game now and much tougher to score.

Crosby may become the best player of all time but I don't see him breaking too many if any of Grezty records.

Crosby is amazing and has a chance to break some records but noway is he going to get 200+ points in a season...I think he may play longer than Gretzky did and they may attribute to record chances....But the players are inches and pounds larger than what they were in the 80s.

not only are the players bigger and faster now, the goaltending is also at a much higher level. if you look at some old gretzky footage you will see what I mean. Crosby is the modern day gretzky.

No doubt about it. Fun player to watch.

I sure do miss Lemieux though.

No ice in Stuntz Bay yet but I did lift the boat out of the water onto the boathouse deck.  Easy to drop it back in if the water is soft after I get my deer.

I took a trip this August to Buffalo River State Park to wade in the river while hitting the holes. My brother and I caught a variety of fish from red horse and chubs to a clam. All fish were caught on worm chunks. This spring/summer I want to use my new 5wt fly road and see what I catch

Let’s get them 22-27 inch fish out of the lake

I think anybody can see that the food/forage base is or has declined in Mille lacs.......having a lot of large fish doesn't help it at all. I think they should thin the herd.

Well was a sad day today indeed. Got the kayak all vacuumed out and cleaned up. Then hung it in it’s winter spot in the shed. Trailer got a cleaning to. But until next year so long open water. Time to finish putting the open water gear away and finish getting the ice gear out.

10/21/18     I have hunted in the Hutchinson area the last two weekends with my Dad, son, and some friends. Dakota ducks are trickling through central MN as the calendar migration has begun. With strong NW blows before or during the past two weekends, we have harvested mallards, gadwalls, redheads, bluebills, canvasbacks, and ringnecks, as well as a couple of geese hunting from a boat blind on some shallow lakes. This calendar migration should continue over the next couple weeks whenever we can get a strong NW or West wind. It will take some more cold and frozen water in Canada to get the big Canadian birds to come down--hopefully that happens before Thanksgiving. Good luck, and I will see you out there somewhere.

Snow?  Yeah I finally ran into some today.     And I HAD to get them on the tailgate! 😅   And that is one of the reasons to leave that stuff in MN for a little while.  😎

Wow, I am certainly getting beat up over on this side of the fence today.  On month old posts and mostly by the mods oddly. ☹️
