Thinking of going to Springsteel Resort this weekend. Wondering how the plowed roads where? How much snow on the lake? Will I need an extention on my auger?

They do have a road plowed out to South Tip, but don't know if any further. The snow is around a foot to a foot and a half, you can get out and fish though, bring your extension. Was out a week and a half ago and had to set the auger right on the ice and it bairly cut through, I am planning on going out there too, don't know where to go but this time I am definatly bringing a ext., taking sled out with the X4, cause my 2wd Ford Rander wont make it no matter how hard I beat on it. It has been a steady bite so give it a try, have heard quite a few people did well.
