While on vacation in Marco Island, FL we went back down to the Beach to do some more Surf Fishing. At the end of our last trip we found a group of rocks that seemed to be holding a lot of different species including Sheepshead and Pompano. We decided to start our day near these rocks this time and they didn't disappoint. We were using 1/4oz and 1/2oz egg sinkers with circle hooks and shrimp to catch all of our fish. -

I would give Fred's Bait in Deer River and / or The Winnie Trading Post a shout. Both are on the web as well, if you'd rather send an e-mail. I'm sure they mostly deal with the area fishing but I think they know more than a few guides & may be able to at least point you in the right direction. It's at least the 2nd, maybe the 3rd generation running Fred's now. -

I just got into diver hunting and it’s a blast. I hunted Mille Lacs will be doing it again. I will ask around I know a couple duck hunters in that area. -

My brother in law stays at a resort on Kab through second weekend of walleye season. They called him the other day and told him to reschedule his group as they are sure there will be ice. -
