are there any wheel houses out yet on the south side of lake???

We pulled a couple of wheel houses out last week, out of the south side, Wahkon Bay area to 2 mile with ATV's. Watch out for a couple of cracks and chippy ice. We had a portable bridge with us to cross the cracks.

The houses weigh about 3,000#.

I am looking for a location close to shore to use as a base camp and with a chance of catching something late or early in day before heading out with portable during the day

Yes, watched many smaller wheelhouses go out of Brandt's on Saturday, all pulled by ATV's. Jerry was pulling larger skid houses out to Mile-and-a-quarter reef and a bit beyond all day. He has two ice gap bridges out, and the road goes out to Sloppy's. He said he would have the ice near shore marked out for parking after Christmas Day 'cause he has a residential traffic jam on land, he isn't allowing vehicles out yet, just ATV's and his willys jeeps for pulling shacks out. We fished mile-and-a-quarter and had 10 inches of ice.
