rut with the weather

when i hunted opener weekend it was between 35 and 65 degrees out. i was wondering if the peek of the rut still happened or if the next cold spell will bring the bucks out to breed. going again this weekend hope it is colder out than the last weekend.

If I recall correctly it ias more based on light levels then temperarture. The temp has to do more with comfort level of moving with winter coats.

the rut doesn't affect us as much in our area. mostly deer hang out in the same area no matter what. most of the deer hunters around here don't care about the rut. me included.
