Like I've been saying, the luck would run out for Grossman and the OVERRATED Bears! The Dolphins are supposed to be one of the worst teams in the league, much Like Arizona!! They put the beat down on the Bears, kinda like the Cardinals were doing... only this time the horseshoe thingee didn't work out for the OVERRATED Bears! ALL I can say is it's a blessing in disguise.... maybe the Bears fans won't crash so hard now when they choke in January!!

If you look, there are other posts bashing the Vikes and Williamson in particular. Lets try to stay focused on the Bears in this thread okay. Face it, they were exposed to a one win team today!!! With 3 straight away games, and tough ones to boot, I think the Bears better stop believing the hype about themselves....but that ain'ta gonna happen, and they are just plain lucky to be in such a cruddy division. C'mon Vikes and Pack, push 'em alittle at least so the Bears can't coast/back-in to the title!

Not sure how well you know Joe (Ragnar), but he was the hall monitor at my high school back in the late 1980's. For as scary as he looks, he was actually a pretty nice/modest fella - pretty sure he doesn't eat Bears or Bears fans. Only gripe I have with him is that he turned me in for tobacco use (he saw me chewing cope off-campus) and I got suspended from baseball the week that we played Cretin DH (Weinke era)...I still haven't gotten over that.

I know Joe really well as a matter of fact when he was your liason guy at Minneotonka H.S. he would show up at the Tonka hockey games and we'd chat weekly.... I was employed by the City of Mtka back in the day.... Joe is now a Liason to Hopkins H.S.

Pete, I gratuated Hopkins in '86 and know alot of Tonka boys... any chance you played hockey or knew any Hopkins people?

Most of the hockey players I knew were also baseball players - I didn't play hockey. I moved to MTKA in 9th grade, so I didn't grow-up with these guys and haven't maintained any meaningful friendships - though I still consider them 'high-school friends'. I played with Justin McHugh, Jeff Dahl, Tim Hanus and Dale 'Off-the-skate-and-in-the-goal' Roehl (sorry Dale). I hung-out a bit with Sean Goldsworthy...I knew a few others (Agar, Tavi, Bouchard, Larsen), but my memory has clouded a bit over the years.

I knew few Hopkins folks. Mark Gonsoir hung-out with my circle of friends - not sure if you know his tragic story, but god rest his soul - he was the good sh!t...

Joe and I developed an interesting 'school-friendship'...I think he was new to MTKA HS around the same time I moved here from Chi-town. As you probably know, adolesent Tonka brats are not always the most welcoming/accepting people. Joe, I think, was from out-state (maybe up-north?). I think his family had a knife/chainsaw sharpening business (?)- He once shaved his beard at a pep-rally with an axe that he had sharpened...he also 'took all-comers' at arm-wrestling...he shared a story of being beaten-up and left for dead (teeth and face bashed in) - said it changed his life and helped him re-dedicate himself to live a full-life. Seeing him on the field during Vikings games brings a smile to my face - kudos to him...still wish he wouldn't have ratted me out though

Dale Roehl!! I can't remember if it was him or maybe his brother (Ross)that was our goalie in mens league at Tonka... he was alot of fun, he'd play better with beer in his system!! I just saw "Hondo" Tim Hanus at the Gophers Hockey game vs CC a few weeks ago (Friday night).

I talked to Joe again before the Vikes game, he is a good guy and would probably remember you if you saw him. Take it easy.

The Bears have shown the last 2 weeks(Giants, Jets) that they deserve being 9-1. They can't help it that their division has Detroit, terrible general manager and organization period, Green Bay, who now have the reputation of not paying their players well, except for an over the hill QB, and Safety, then there's the Vikes, enough said. Yea the Bears are in a terrible division, a terrible conference, but they win. Go Bears!

I'll cheer for a team in the division(except the Viqueens) and would love to see da Bears kick butt this year but I see them going down in the playoffs. The offense will fail them at crunch time.

I don't know if you watched the game Geno, but I hate to use this as an excuse but it was obvious that the Bears got "jobbed" on several key calls. One was at about the 10 yard line and one was in the endzone. If they had those points early, Rex would not have had to force the throws he did. Oh well, take it like a man and move on. 9-2 ain't bad.

Windy..I think there were some bad calls and non calls on both sides of the ball on Sunday.I didnt think Grossman did that bad,but he has some issues with pressure.I would like to see them roll Grossman out a little more and they need to use there tightend a little more also.Gman seems to always want to go for the big play instead of a sustained drive,but that may be the coaches calling that.Im looking forward to this weekend in hopes of a Bears victory over the Vikes............GO BEARS...........

Would you be "crowing" with a QB like Gross-man, Geno? The guy scares the bejesus out of me. Now with Tommy Harris gone for the season, the defense is noticiably weaker. Are they the best team in the NFC, yea. Are they the best team in football right now, probably. Can they be beaten by the Cowboys, Saints, Patriots, Colts or Chargers in the playoffs...MOST DEFINITELY ! So I am a little nervous, but, hey you know my saying Geno about those "roller coaster" rides. They will sleepwalk into a 14-2 season in the next three weeks and then the "fun" begins.

I really do like how they have done it as a team, and without any of that stupid, childish, rich-kid, trash-talking, hot air bs that comes from some of those other so-called "professionals" in the league. Really do let the performance do the talking for them and I likes that.

Hats off by me for a good season no matter what they do in the playoffs.....H'mmmmm.... I might even root FOR them.

1. No, don't know many of their players as I'm not a Bear fan-and not much of a football fan either, so there you go.

But if you are right, please replace the word "any" with the word "much" when you read that post.

2. Any other examples?

The Bears have gone about their business, won both decidedly AND luckily (defensively) AND really have only had fans talking about what would make them even BETTER (try another QB?). Better than 14-2? What a greedy bunch of fans they are. Guess that comes with all those lean, lean years between good teams. Like I said, hats off to them for their good season.

PS I would rather see someone win defensively than by one of those last second FG's by one of those foreign soccer players anyday.
