Hey Tom,

My email went to heck on me, so I'll drop you a line here. I'll be in Duluth on Thursday the 22nd around 5-6pm dropping my kid's off with the x. We could get out then if ya' want to. Maybe even try the St. Louis for kitty's or maybe the breakwall in Two Harbors? I'm on night shift Friday, but could fish around here in the morning and during the day on Friday the 23rd if ya' want. Let me know.

Hey Brian,
Do you still have my cell number? I'll post it if you need it. Thursday I'm playing volleyball @ Country lanes it's behind K-mart if you know where that is. I play @ 7:00 but I can get up there sooner if you want to make some plans. I have nothing going on Friday so I could head up your way very easy. Give me a call or drop a post.
Take care, Thomas (BD110)

Hey Tom,

I won't be in Duluth on Thursday night, someone else is bringing the kid's down there. I've gotta take my pooch to the vet at 8:30 am on Friday to get some stictches out of her leg, so I should be home and ready to fish by 9:30 for sure, that is if ya' still wanna come up this way. I've gotta work that night at 6pm, but am willing to head out during the day if you want. Let me know, oh yeah bass or walleyes?

I think it all helps to create motion and confusion to keep their attention away from the blinds.  The hurricanes seemed pretty important though.  6 of them per spread and moved around dependent on wind direction.  Some tall silo socks mixed in with them too.  Kill hole in the middle with a few decoys clustered over the e call.  That was about 25 yards from the blinds.  7-8 batteries to run everything.  2000 decoys per spread.   I wasn’t the shot caller.  We were taking them at about 40 yards on average but I believe we could’ve gotten a lot of them feet down.  We all remember the single Ross’ that broke off from a group of snows hovering at 100+ yards and took the elevator all the way down to its demise.  The shot was called just before it lit but we were all sure if it was left alone, the audience above would’ve joined.  It was mesmerizing to watch to watch how much they work a spread without flapping their wings much.   These pics were waiting for them to come down closer.  They did.

Never hunted conservation season. Actually get birds feet down or longer shots? I've been running battery operated flappers but does the rotary machine really help?
