Fishing St. Louis River from shore in Scanlon.

What would be something fun to go for off shore in Scanlon at the Thomson Reservior? I took a walk down there the other day and saw just beyond where you put your boat in they have a little area set up where you can fish from shore.

best place down there is next to the **** there is a seprate trail that takes you to the small **** and best thing is to go for is smallmouth and best thing to use is a 1/4 - 3/8 ounce jig and bobber tipped with a fathead minnow.
