planning a trip end of july to duluth fishing the st louis river,, and scouted out a public boat ramp with a campground nearby,,can any1 tell me,, outside of the high water we are experiencing recently, is this part of the river ok to travler with larger rigs?

If you dont know that area I would be real carefull and trim your motor up. The 23 bridge area is full of rock piles and sand bars. Watch the other boats to see how they move threw place to place.

rock piles and sand bars,, sounds like a great place to fish as long as i dont leave behind a lower unit,,thx for the tip and i may check back here for a fish report when i get closer..
