Alpine and Seagull lakes

Heading up to the area last week of June with a bunch of Boy Scouts. Need some info on fishing for those lakes - where and with what. Smallies and walleye. We will canoeing.

Was up on Alpine 3 years ago, 4th of July weekend and did well on wind swept points with slip bobbers and leeches. Both walleye and bass.

any area in particular? I'm thinking of hanging out on the island directly across from the Seagull portage (the long portage without the river).

Moving water..... is always good. Fish the rapids coming in from Jasper. Opener of 98', my buddy caught a 50.25" Northern on his second cast using 6lb test and no leader. Thing had moss growing on the side of it and no teeth left. Sure it died sometime that year.
