Fish house storage year round

Recommended Posts

KidWalleye

I am getting a wheeled house and would like to know if anyone has opinions on any of the resorts. I would like to leave it at a resort that allows you to use it in the summer. Thanks alot, Kid

18 inch Crappie

A good place to go out of. With all the reefs out of Big point there are many great spots that have roads to. And the food there is great....

the only issue you'll have with the wharf, is that the county over there doesn't allow you to stay in your fish house in the summer. there is some sort of ordinance. unless you pay for a lakeside site and use it as a camper/cabin. I don't think that the wharf will give you any problem, but the ordinance is there.

The wharf wouldn't be my choice either. The area they store the houses in is not ideal to year round use. You have to pay considerable more for storage to use year round. Plus the storage area is no where near the lake. I would pick out the spot you want to fish first, then scout around for some resorts.

Thanks for the info. I couldn't remember Big Point. I went out of there a couple of times last winter. I fished on 3 mile and did well early last year. Kid

It  Came today. At first glance it looks good.

Note to self.  Keep your "Packers Suck" T-shirt in the fishing boat for all future fish pics.   Ties are like head butts, everyone loses.

And this is why you ALWAYS check out FM. I had a crazy busy summer as I worked full time so my weekends and evenings I was always doing somthing and I never just sat down. So I just noticed I missed this great “ goodie” package. Darn!

A chain, a $20-$30 come-along and your set. Wrap chain around rafter hook up come- along and away you go. Been doing it this way for many many years without trouble.

I'll say this. As a Vikings fan, Mrs. Skunked Again was pretty emotionally upset in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. She warmed up a bit when her team came roaring back in the 4th. I don't think either of us would have survived the four hour drive back to MN without a tie.

Northern tool 1/2 ton chain hoist like 39.99 with gambrel works great.

I just use a rope and pulley set up. way cheaper too...

I'm looking to buy a hoist for hanging to skin deer in the garage for around $200 can any one recommend one?
