The river boat count?

Every year I'm down fishing the river on the opener and while playing bumber boats I can't help wonder how many boats are on the river on that day. If you jumped on a plane and counted the boats from the 23 bridge to the 2 entery ways, how many boats do you think are there. Also, which lake or river in MN will have the most boats on it on the opener. Just wanted to hear your guesses.

I dont know maybe 300 plus boats on the river. All of them seem to be following me at times! All I know is by the 23 bridge where I fish the 1st week you can almost walk across them to get from 1 side to the next.

Last year a buddy of mine and myself stood on the bridge and counted 78 boats all nudged together, but it was a slow opener, weather wasn't great

Northlander, is that a private channel 7 or is that one that anyone can listen to with a regular set of walkie talkies, because we have regular walkie talkies and a marine ban my dad just installed on the boat... Just curious to what we need??

You can use any 2 way radio to hear us on channel 7. Everyone uses cell phones for those real secret honey holes. Drop on by Vines Landing also called Fon Du Lac Campground. It will be REALLY bussy so if you plan on launching get there around 5am.
