Wild river St. Park

Going up there is a few weeks, just wondering about canoeing & fishing in the area. Is there a good current here, or would one be able to put in at the park and go up river for a ways without to many problems. Also, any pointers on fishing would be appreciated as I've never been there before.

You could make it upstream but it's a little easier going with the flow...depending on where you want to put in at you might be able to park a vehicle downstream and put in upstream??? Smallies should be going good now. Try throwing poppers upstream right up to shore and work em down. Maybe bring a rope and stop and fish fallen trees that hang out and into the water. Toss a jig and piece of crawler right behind and you should find a few walleyes and smallies that way. Good luck!
