I will be camping at Roberds Lake for the first week in August. I have never been to this area before. Is there good fishing? What kind of fish? I have my own boat so I can move around if needed. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Look for the bass and panfish to be active during low light near cover.

that little lake is a sweet lake to be on! seldom get very rough.( lots of pleasure boaters though!) you can catch ; large mouth bass, blue gils, crappies, northern, and walleye in there. early morning, and evenings maybe be your best times as stated with the heat and boat traffic. get a map ! you have rock pts.the island, and a couple of flats, plus the weeds and brush along the shore. grin.gif

Thanks for the info. I have one more question. Any good bait shops in the area?? Thanks again

I haven't fished that area but from what I've seen it is a nice little area. There should be a bait shop near the swiming beach. Faribault is just down the road and there is a bait shop at the Cannon river. There is also Wal-Mart.

i think both esorts still carry minnows .( but not certain!) if you go into faribault on hwy 21. turn west at the burger king. there is atleast one bait shop a few blocks that way . faribault bait and tackle should be on your left, and i think there is another one just a bit farther on your right.
