UPS landing

Anyone been down there lately? Is it open out to the big pond. I know some ships have been through. Was out on Sunday on Pool 4 but really would like to pull some cranks and tinker with the boat out on the lake.

I think there was still some ice around both of the docks. It all depends on the wind too, it could plug up in a hurry.

I will keep you posted. I might have to swing in there on the way home and get a good look at the situation. I have the soft water itch pretty bad too!

The ice is still thick on the Wi. side but if you can get out of the landing you can get out the Mn. entry.

Wind must have closed off the harbor again cause as of 6am this morning you couldnt get out from under the highbridge due to ice.
The hard thing is even if you get out, there is alot of ice in the bay floating around there and it can blow back in while you are out. The channel to the river is starting to open up past the bong bridge and looks thin up to spirit lake.

Thats where I put in yesterday. Had to push a couple chunks of ice with a paddle (that I forgot on the dock) but it was no problem.
