Sorry Boys I can't make this one. I sure wish I could.

I may be in Rainy Lake but depending on what time I get back I will drop by and see who is still around. Can you give me some good directions from Duluth?

Posted

We talked about bringing a couple of boats along to look at how things were rigged. Is anybody bringing theirs so the rest of us can see what we need to work on? I can bring mine if nobody else is. I just picked up a set of Cannons that will be replacing my current Big Jons and could use some advice on how/where to mount them on my boat. Also plan to mess around with my planer tower too.

Anybody???

I'm located north of Esko.
From the South-
From Esko go North on Canosia to the old Community Center located at the corner of Canosia and N. Cloquet Road. Go east 1 mile, (Ikola) turn and go North (left) 1 3/4 miles. Driveway on the right.
From the Iron Range-
For you Sam, just come south on HWY 33 turn left on St. Louis River Road. Cross Canosia road and go 1.1 miles to Ikola turn Rt.(its the only way you can turn.) Go 1/4 miles driveway on the left.
from Duluth-
Take Proctor exit. Hwy 2 west apprx 2 miles past Proctor. Turn left on St. Louis River Road. Cross HWY 13 (Midway Rd.). From that intersection go another aprrx. 3 miles, turn left on Ikola, (its just before the RR tracks),go 1/4 of a mile, driveway on Left.
At my drive is 358 IKOLA ROAD. My house is the grey one with large grey pole building. It is easy to find during the day or night.
Hope to see all of you there!

Sam, bring the boys, totatly fine!

Lotalota bring your boat. I have a couple of tips for mounting them!

Xplorer,
Should I try and get the white cedar for this? I found out that last year they ran out and just gave me the run around. I'll see if I can get two eight foot lengths.

i have some 1/2" o.d. stainless conduit that could be used as a sleeve between the planners? if there is any interest i could cut a bunch to (what?) size.

q: as the world population continues to increase, does the earth's weight?
(it's another george noory night in the coal plant)

BW that SS conduit would look sharp. Ideally you want added weight down low so the conduit although it would look nice it would make the boards top heavy.

Posted

I wish I could make it but I prob. will have to end up helping my in-laws move into thier new home, but if something changes I'll make it up there.

surface tension
I take it you make your boards 3 feet long. how far apart do you make them?
