2 weeks ago me and my wife were fishing on Norway lake during the Sheep Head Tourney and and needless to say the Sheep Head bit on anything but the walleyes had other things on their minds. Anyway we had enough and pulled up to the access. Like normal, I backed the trailer in the lake and drove the boat on the trailer, and there happened to be a gentleman loading a boat next to me and he politely walked over and thought he would do me a favor and hook up my boat to the trailer. So I thanked him and blew the horn to my wife to pull me out. As soon as she started driving frown.gif I heard the winch spinning and seen the truck going forward as I went back into the lake! Luckily she heard my screams of inevitable agony and she stopped but not before my boat rolled off the trailer onto its keel. My thanks buddy quickly turned to "you $#@#$@$&#^#$@#$@##$&"! All in all it wasn't as bad as it could have been. She could've pulled me all the way onto the ashphalt! So a valuable lesson learned, If you don't want to be one of those dumb $^#@ at the access that we have all seen, hook your boat up yourself! O ya, whats that chain up there by the winch for anyway smirk.gif MORON

Jamie, look to the bright side you were not launching. I saw a guy on minnetonka drop his new glastron on the ramp before hit was near the water. He had a roller trailer, thought if he would unhooked the boat it would help launch faster. Until he told his friend to stop half way down the ramp because the boat was shifting. Well he launched it alright. confused.gif Thats why I hookup and pull the boat out myself. Just remember to the trailer strapps from back of boat that can be a bummer or the plug. smirk.gif

ahh the excitement of the boat ramp...stories like these must number in the thousands. I don't even trust my brother to crank it up the boat or hitch up the trailer.

The best one I ever saw happened on Diamond lake. While I was waiting to load up for about 30 minutes while all the rejects were wasting time as usual. There was a guy in a brand new Yukon backing in a brand new pleasure boat. Not sure the brand but it was probally around 22ft. After about 5 minutes of trying to back it in, all the while sreaming profanities at his wife who was no help he told her to just take the kids to the county park store for some snacks. As he tried to back it one last time, little to my suprise I noticed one of his trailer tires starting to ride on the access dock. About ten feet later he finally noticed the problem. He had the traier limboing on the dock with the boat on. At this point he could no longer move forward or backward. Then he insisted help from 2 other nuckle heads that decided they could push the trailer and boat off of the dock. After ten minutes of that tibockel they finally gave up. Then all of the sudden before my eyes the trailer started to buckle and it just snapped out of the hitch and landed sideways in the water. After another 10 minutes with 2 more idiots now deciding to help the 5 guy's unhooked the boat and got it right side up thanks to a little help from the water. Needless to say there camping trip at the county park did not go as planned. For the boat and trailer, to me they looked unuseable, what he ever did after that is for someone else to write in.

Well if the Jumbos are not pulling your bobber down yet, try the new batch I got yesterday. They are as big as your fat thumb..I have a few guys told me yesterday already that they are too big for them tongue.gif....Well, you know what they say the bigger the leech the bigger the Walleye. or something like that. grin.gif

Hello j

I like large leeches for sunfish. You cut them in half, they wiggle like crazy, and the small sunnies won't touch'em. You getting any red tails in yet? I have been get small 1 1/2- 2inch shiners for fishing. work great on pannies and on the walleyes. just like eatin a snack. The pannies are good size, even popped a 4lb lmb last nite. Need to get more.

Well, had a few dozen red tails between 3" to 4", but they are already spoken for. May have some bigger ones like 6" or so left, if interested...Also instead of cutting the large leeches why don't you try using med or panfish leeches? have you thought of that? grin.gifsmirk.gif
