Report 6\19-6\24 E.Bearskin & Poplar

We stayed at the campground on Iron lake from 6\19-6-24. What a blast it was fishing these area lakes!! Started out fishing Iron lake with minimal success caught lots of smallish pike and some blue gills. Nice lake but couldnt find any walleyes.

Then we fished poplar and had better success catching some smaller walleyes and lots of smallies. We were mostly using jigs and leeches and some gulp twisters yellow and white being the best colors.

We then decided to try another lake and picked East Bearskin out of the map book. We had an absolute blast out there. During the day we would pick up lots of smallies some were nice fish pushing the 20 inch mark. Again we were using white and yellow twisters with a white 1/4 - 3/8 jig head. Walleye fishing at dusk was phenomenal using slip bobbers and leeches on an under water point. Caught a couple fish that were upper 20's and a decent number of mid 20's.

Can't wait to get back up and enjoy time with some friends soon!
