Went out Wednesday evening for the dusk bite and did quite well... the eyes were holding in 10-20 fow over the flats southeast of the I-94 bridge (saugers were a bit deeper, as expected). Caught a few jigging leeches but pulling a lindy with a crawler was most productive - very light bites, though, so I'm sure I missed a few as well. If anyone has been out for the morning bite, I'd appreciate a reply with info as to general location and presentation; I'm planning on getting out pre-dawn on Saturday...

Pre-dawn where do you launch at? My normal launch doesn't open til 6 but would love to hit the water around 5 or so

I usually put in at the Hudson launch - right at the riverfront park. The Fee is $5.25, I think, for non-residents but the launch and parking area is quite nice. It's no-wake all the way to either bridge (I-94 to the south or the railroad swing bridge to the north) so I usually throw a crank into the water and troll on my way - I've hooked up the occasional eye right in front of the Hudson marina! There's another launch just north of the I-94 bridge in Hudson (I don't think there's a fee) but its not as nice.

If you head out Saturday a.m., I'll be in an 'unmarked' (Monark King but I pulled the labels off - don't need to provide free advertising for them!) 18.5' fish-n-ski (black and tan). Probably just me... say hello if you see me.

Sounds like a plan, lol at your advertising comment.

I will be in a tan and brown 1984 Crestliner Nordic, probably see you out there.

yeah, I usually pull the stickers off my cars/trucks as well... and you'll rarely see me wearing a product-endorsing t-shirt (except for my "leinie's" hat but I only wear that for good luck fishing wink.gif)... so are you gonna offer up any morning bite tips or do I have to chase you down Saturday morning?? grin.gif

I have been out only once this year in the moring on the croix, I have trolled lindy's between 8-12 ft and have also had some luck with cranks about same depths, I plan on using leeches again, worked well before
