Yeah its really thick right now. I saw the cutter out the other morning around 7, don't think it did much good though.

If we could just figre out how to run our vehicles off of milfoil. Talk about a renewable resource...

That cutter on that lake is like mowing your lawn with a string trimmer.

doesnt cutting it just help it spread more rapidly? if they have a way to kill weeds but not harm my lawn, you would think that they could come up with a way to kill the foil and not the coontail or whats left of the cabbage.

not sure what the cutting would do except make it easier to fowl up topwater lures. ever try whipping out your tallywacker on tonka? kinda dissapointing when your tallywacker cant do any whackin. i think the purple found a solution to that problem last fall though.

It cuts near the base and then they go up a conveyor belt deal so the do remove it from the water.

Ive heard those millfoil cutters can take out quite a few fish.

I don't think fish are that stupid to stay in the path of a loud machine coming towards them. Its not like its moving at 50mph. More like 5 to 10 tops.

They also help to find interesting things. One found a bodie inbetween Calhoun and Isles on Sunday. Havent seen a full report yet though.

You wouldnt think fish would be that stupid but I have seen it...tons and tons of crappies riding up the conveyor with the weeds, some flip back in but many dont.

Im sure the fish just tuck themselves into the weeds thinking they're safe and before they know it they are being pulled in with a tangle of weeds.
