So i have been reading how hot the mud is getting and im going too be up that way the weekend after this and was wondering as hot as the flats are getting, is that also now the best bet for evening/night slip bobber fishing? Or are the shallow rocks a better bet yet? Or should i say, what do you guys project too be the best bet in about 11 days?

I think the shallow bite is dead in most areas. I fished kings hump last thursday 10-20 feet and only one fish Sunday we fished Indian point 8-20' and 2 small fish.both nights there was a lot of wind 3 to 5 footers it should have been good but I would go to the mud or gavel if the wind stays down. You can slip bobber all day if you want but if you don't get a bite move every 30 to 45 min.

We fished the mud yesterday, but didn't bobber fish. I did see a few boats bobber fishing towards evening before we left. A couple of the boats that were bobber fishing slammed them. Fish in 25ft where it drops to 30ft. Didn't see many slot fish caught out on the mud though. All of the fish we caught were 23 to 26inches.
