Last Thursday I released a fat 45" on Pelican, fished D.L. last friday, before, during and after the rain, nothing. Anyone else at either lake?

DL was rough!!! I didnt think waves could get that big on that little lake!!! I lost one lower 40's fish at the boat and had one follow before the tropical force winds hit. After that I didnt see anything. Then went to a little lake in the area and had a few other follows and caught a 26.5 inch walleye with a jerk bait.

Good luck

I pulled my first muskie ever on sunday on big Detroit. 12 feet of water. What a rush, i will post the pic once i get it onto my computer

I was out on DL yesterday morning and night. I ended up with two in the morning, 46" & 48". And two other follows, one small one. In the afternoon I had one follow and one blow up on a topwater that missed the bait.

Just returned from another week in the DL area. Fished Sallie with a brief excursion to Leek/Trowbridge for largemouth. Largest fish on Sallie was a 45" muskie caught by my brother trolling a 12 inch diver in 25 feet of water. Actually graphed the fish before it hit. Many northerns up to 36 inches with largest fish coming from 20' plus. Sfc temps was 76 degrees. Walleye bite was hot around dusk on chrome and blue Rat L Traps in 11-13 feet. Very aggressive strikes. Average size was 21 inches. Good to see the 'eyes finally going out there. Brand new 8hp Yamaha 4-stroke tiller died, but thanks to JK Marine for a speedy carb repair during the busy holiday weekend.

Lenny, do you ever fish Pelican? My partner is leaving next weekend to work out of town, won't be back much till the end of Sept. I live south of Fargo but spend alot of time on Pelican, Big C and D.L.

I only have fished Pelican for walleyes once - I had a bad experience with some homeowners out there and haven't been back since.

It is  pretty shiny piece of equipment. I was able to purchase it on my scab job wages 😆 I don't think I'll update the electronics any time soon, 3 screens is enough?

🤣 not near as shiny and spendy as that livescope toy. Thats kinda like bling ain't it? besides i'm on a paultry union pension  🫣

I mean to catch pike you just need a shiny object...

Just another "Words matter"   Voting on school levy. This was posted on the School "education district" building door.  We had a nice cold walk all the way around the building! The arrow was added, after we educated them! 😒

Obviously this is more of a hot topic due to forward facing sonar. With that being said, I know people who have pulled crappies out of basins 40+ deep since the fl-8 and zercom flashers came out. That's over 30 years ago. I do think there's a push to ban these in MN and I could see them doing it here. They'll have to pay my livescope from my cold dead hands 😆 on days I can't catch a walleye jigging or rigging it's nice to turn it on and throw corks at individual fish

It wasn't just you, I was fishing west of you about an hour on Monday. Fished 8am-4pm, no fish, two keeper walleye and one small one from 4pm-630pm. Marked a lot of fish, they would come up to a jig and swim away. They were skittish to the dead stick too

I wonder like divers, if we let them decompress every 10' for 1/2hr. If that would help?  🤔  It would slow the bite down a bit!  🤭
