Monster 36"+ pike on Big Detroit.

I went out in the insane wind on suday in my narrow little 16ft boat. I caught some good walleys on Sallie before it got to crazy then I went to Big Detroit and did some muskie trolling. well it seemed like a good idea when trolling with the wind. the turn back was a little wet.

Then it happend, I had a big hard bite. I thought muskie for sure and was kinda panicing because I could not contoll the boat well and fight a monster, I got in shallow out of hte wind and threw my anchor over with too much rope on it and I drifted out in waves, finally got fish in the boat and it was a giant pike. I have a 36inch tape on the side of boat and he was longer than that, I would say maybe 39-40. I was going for camera when waves came up and there he went back into the deep. I was surprised at such a beast on Detroit.

I saw something funny when I came to the landing also. SOme azz_clown was taking his own sweet time getting his boat away from the dock. 18 minutes I waited for him to get in his darn boat. Then he realized that he did not have the plug in and it was sinking at the dock. At this point I just back my trailer around his boat and drove it out the hard way. it was very comiical.
