Just a quick update on the river from the Falls to Hammond.

I drove along the river road last night and the river is high and muddy. If it keeps raining it's going to get worse.

More of the same here in town as well Dan. I've been meaning to report. I walk across the 4th street bridge everyday and it has been flowing steady and up for a while now. I'll keep everyone updated on how it is looking.

Well the rains this weekend brought things up a bit. Water levels below the 4th St bridge are higher and flowing faster than last week. Looks like a bit more rain in the forecast so it may be a bit before things settle down.

Though its still flowing pretty steady and muddied the water levels have dropped quite a bit below the 4th St bridge. If the rains stay away I'd be willing to be Lake Zumbro will be nice and ready to start getting out on soon.

Well, just because it was such a nice night Alex and I went to the Hammond wingdam last night. Where we usually would stand and fish from was about 2-3 feet under water. Or should I say Nesquick. It was pretty dirty. I can see that it has come down some from the mark the high water left behind.

We fished using cat bait and crawlers. Nothing on the cat bait. But one huge sheepie and one little channel came by using crawlers.

Still a bit early, but as soon as the river levels off and gets warmed up a bit we'll be in business.
