Papa

Tamarack Lodge has a tournament every year in July. Contact them for more information.

There is also a ladies tournament in July run by Gosh Dam Place.

Denny's holds several tournaments during the summer.

Williams Narrows holds a couples tournament in August.

The Minnesota Tournament Trail will be @ Winnie three times this summer. Twice, (1)June (1)July for 2 single day event weekends, and a two-day double point event in Aug. All are out of Denny's Resort. It's a very affordable and well run tournament trail by Mike and Renee Holt. I fished Team Walleye events that were run by Mike and his group and they do a great job.

Application forms should be updated, completed and posted on the net very soon.

See ya on the Trail. laugh.gif

Fisherman For a Lifetime

James,

If ya know it like me, we better team up - we'll win with all of our experience... grin.gif (fished Winnie a lot since the mid 60's and my Dad fished it A LOT since right after WW II)...

Good luck out there...

Yeah im going too be up at Winnie that week before the August 5-6 tourney and my brother in law wants too fish it with me. One of the rules of the MTT for fishing this tourney is that you have too fish one of the other 1-day tourneys at some point so I think we might try fishing one of the Mille Lacs tourneys. I'm pretty pumped too maybe give the 2 day Winnie event a try.

What length of the HT BLUES are you looking for? I've seen some 24" @ Walmart stores. Some in the rod/reel combos n some just the rod itself. I got my 30" frm Frankie's bait in Chisago so if you're in that area you can check it out or give them a call. I remember seeing some @ Blue Ribbon baits in Maplewood also. You can also give them a call. I hope this helps.

Fish went deeper durring the day today. Not easy cracking the code this year

I shoot through the bottom..  Use plumbers putty to make a ring and use some to keep the diversity in place.   I just add enough water to make a good conductor.  Works great.  No worries about snagging the ducer outside the boat.  As for finders I have an old fish eagle, buddy just picked up a battery operated color unit from amazon says it worked good.

I just got a report from nextdoor that we have 8-10 inches.

I noticed this morning that it had heaved out in Miller Bay kind of between the DNR access and Four Mile Bar. Really raising heck with my shore. Going to have to take a sledge hammer to my shore tomorrow so I can get out.

any current report on ice thickness around palisade?
    • PRO-V
That's doubtful with the warm forecast.

Just learned that someone broke through on Reno last night. He was pulling his 7'x12' fish house with his ATV and dropped the back of his fish house through on 3" out in the middle of the lake. Fortunately, nobody was hurt and he was able to somehow get it retrieved this morning. I guess they had to go over 100' from the front of the ATV to find 10" of ice.
