Little help from a friend??

Havin' Fun

A buddy and I are coming up next weekend with the permenant and I am just wondering if we are going to be able to pull it off the roads as our spot doesn't have a road to it? (I'm hearing only a couple of inches of snow on the ground) Traveling on the north side around 7 mile. Any idea for access that would involve the least amount of ice heaves? Garrison or Red Door/Barnacles? Any place that is better for pulling out permanents?

Thanks for the help!

there was close to 7" overall last week. It was nice to see as it turned the skating rink into walkable ice again. I had the sled out for awile yesterday and great riding. Going off road with a truck and pull behind???? I'm not going to say it can't be done, but you will definitley be pushing some snow and some drifts as the winds on Friday were pretty strong. I wold think the big challenge would be leaving the road and getting through the plow berm if thats the direction you need to travel, there are areas on the east side that have 4' road banks. Good luck. Bill

Hi Hammer- as of early in the week there was just a couple inches over the ice. They have had some snows but most of the lake snow gets windswept and kind settles. I would say just an inch or two and no problems for you. I have been driving out of Casino for a while and that is a pretty close shot good ice and no heaves to deal with.

SE Corner of the lake had 2-4" in some spots, 8-10" in others. Depended on the drifting.
